Clients

Linguists

• Verify identity and tax status
• Issue payments and 1099 forms

Google may collect or receive information from our site and use it to provide measurement services and ad targeting. You can manage cookies through your browser settings or opt out of Google Analytics via browser add‑ons.

We only share information when necessary to operate our business, including:

• Assigned linguists (to complete your project)
• Service providers such as Google Workspace, WooCommerce, Stripe, and Zapier
• International linguists, when needed for your project
• Legal authorities, if required by law, subpoena, or court order
• Business transfers, if our company is ever sold or reorganized

All linguists—U.S. and international—are required to follow confidentiality and data‑security standards.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including:

• Encryption in transit (HTTPS)
• Encryption at rest through Google Workspace
• Multi‑factor authentication on internal systems
• Limited, role‑based access to sensitive data
• Secure file‑transfer methods

Linguist Data Handling

Linguists may temporarily store client files on their devices only for the duration of the assignment and must delete them once the job is completed.

6. AI‑Assisted Tools

We may use secure AI‑assisted tools to support translation, transcription, or quality review. These tools assist our human linguists and do not replace human judgment. They are used only for the purpose of completing your requested service.

7. SMS Communication

Linguists may receive automated SMS job alerts after providing explicit consent via our official onboarding form.

• Message frequency varies.

• Consent is not a condition of contracting.

• Reply STOP to opt out.

• Data Sharing: We do not share, sell, or convey SMS consent or phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

8. Data Retention

• Client documents: retained for up to five years for recordkeeping and quality assurance
• Client documents may be deleted sooner upon request
• Contractor tax and payment records: retained as required by IRS regulations
• Website analytics data: retained according to Google’s default policies

9. Your Choices & Rights

You may request:

• A copy of your personal information
• Correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion of your documents or account information (unless we must retain it for legal reasons)
• Opt‑out of marketing communications
