2. Translation Requests Submitted Through the Website

Translation services requested through the website are governed by:

• Our Translation Agreement, which will be provided to you before work begins
• Appendix A – Testimony and Court Appearance Fees (when applicable)

If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Translation Agreement, the Translation Agreement controls.

You agree that:

• No translation work begins until you receive and accept the Translation Agreement
• Payment terms, cancellation rules, revision rights, and delivery timelines are governed by the Translation Agreement
• Certified translations may require specific formatting or notarization, which will be disclosed in advance

3. Interpretation Requests

Interpretation services are governed by:

• These Terms
• Our Interpreting Terms of Service, provided at the time of scheduling

If there is any conflict, the Interpreting Terms of Service control for interpreting assignments.

4. User Responsibilities

You represent that:

• You own or have the legal right to any documents, audio, or media you upload
• Materials you submit do not infringe the rights of any third party
• You will provide clear, legible, and complete source materials

We are not responsible for errors caused by illegible scans, missing pages, unclear audio, or incomplete information.

You agree to review all deliverables promptly and notify us of concerns within the timeframe specified in the applicable service agreement.

5. Contractor (Linguist) Responsibilities

Linguists who work with us agree to:

• Maintain strict confidentiality
• Use client materials only for the purpose of completing assignments
• Delete all client materials upon completion
• Follow professional standards and deadlines

SMS consent is not a condition of contracting.

6. Payments & Refunds

Payments made through the website are processed securely through:

• WooCommerce
• Stripe

We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.

Refunds for translation or interpretation services are governed by the applicable service agreement (Translation Agreement or Interpreting Terms of Service). Because these services are customized, refunds are generally not issued once work has begun.

7. Intellectual Property

We retain ownership of:

• Website content
• Templates
• Proprietary workflows

You retain ownership of your original documents. Completed translations become your property once paid in full, as described in the Translation Agreement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, email providers, or technical issues
• Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service at issue

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where prohibited by law.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• Attempt to bypass security features
• Use the website for unlawful purposes
• Upload harmful code or files
• Misrepresent your identity or authority

We may suspend access for violations.

10. Privacy

Your use of the website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

11. Termination

We may refuse or cancel an order if:

• The materials appear fraudulent or unlawful
• The request violates confidentiality or ethical standards
• The client is abusive, uncooperative, or fails to pay

You may cancel before work begins for a full refund.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict‑of‑law principles. Any disputes must be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Miami‑Dade County, Florida.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent version. Continued use of our website constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
